SEVERN, Md. - Three suspects were arrested by Anne Arundel County Police shortly after midnight inside a car they were subsequently charged with stealing.
Officers from the Western District responded to the 1700 block of Richfield Drive in Severn for a report of three suspects possibly damaging a vehicle in the area.
The suspects immediately left the scene with the vehicle that was being damaged. A description of the vehicle was broadcast. Officers canvassed the area and located the suspects and vehicle at the Royal Farms store at the intersection of Route 175 and Blue Water Boulevard. The suspects were immediately taken into custody.
Further investigation confirmed that the vehicle was stolen and a witness positively identified the suspects. The suspects were placed under arrest and charged accordingly. All three suspects were charged with Theft under 10,000, Rogue and Vagabond, Malicious Destruction of Property and Unlawful Taking of Motor Vehicle.
Additionally, suspect Alvin Prue, who became combative on numerous occasions and assaulted several officers, was charged with Failure to Obey a Lawful Order (two counts), Second Degree Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Second Degree Attempt Escape, Disorderly Conduct and Open Alcohol Container.
