Brooklyn Park, Md. - Two people were arrested in Sunday following an armed robbery in Brooklyn Park, Anne Arundel County police report.
Police said Marcel Wilton Turpin, 24, of the 700 block of Mansfield Rd. in Essex and Veatrice Moore, 30, of the 800 block of Cloverleaf Court in Edgewood, were each charged with armed robbery, theft and assault for allegedly robbing a Boost Mobile store.
Police said the robbery occurred around 5 p.m. at the store, located in the 5000 block of Ritchie Highway. A victim told officers that two suspects entered the store and displayed a knife. The suspects then struck the victim several times in the head with their fists and took money and merchandise from the store.
The suspects fled the and were caught in the area by officers a short time later. The victim suffered minor injuries, but refused medical treatment.
