People moved to the back of the Annapolis library, showed problems breathing and even required medical attention last Thursday, November 29.

Police say it was because a 73-year-old man threatened to get his shotgun.

According to an incident report provided by the Annapolis Police Department, an officer witnessed the man say, "I am going to get my shotgun and blow this place up."

The report indicates that prior to the officer's arrival, then man was speaking to three women.

Police identified the man as John Joseph Marchesikie of Silverwood Circle in Annapolis.

The responding officer says when  Marchesikie was asked why he would communicate such a threat he said the women were not helping him and that he was just playing.

Marchesikie was taken into custody.
