Man shot during home invasion

BROOKLYN PARK, Md. (WMAR) -
A man is recovering after police say he was shot during a home invasion in Brooklyn Park earlier Wednesday evening.
Anne Arundel County Police responded to the 200 block of Southerly Road in Brookyln Park at about 6:30 p.m. for reports of a shooting.
Police found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
It has since been discovered that two male suspects entered a residence, and one displayed a handgun and announced a robbery. During the robbery attempt, the victim was shot and the suspects fled the area.
Several witnesses are being interviewed at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
