ODENTON, Md. - A man is recovering at the hospital after police shocked him with a Taser and he jumped off a 2nd story balcony, onto a cop car.
According to Anne Arundel County Police, an officer went to the Royal Inn Motel in Odenton to serve a warrant related to a domestic incident. When he arrived the officer identified himself, entered the room and that's when the suspect attacked him.
After the suspect hit the officer several times, the officer shocked him with a Taser. The Taser didn't work and the suspect ran to the balcony and jumped, landing on a police car below and tried to run away.
The officer arrested the suspect shortly after he jumped and took him to Shock Trauma for treatment. He is under guard at the hospital awaiting charges.
This was not the first run-in between the officer and suspect. They came in contact with each other before and the suspect was able to get away.
The officer also had minor injuries, but will be fine.
