ARNOLD, Md. - Anne Arundel County Police say they arrested a man in Arnold on Thursday for pointing a shotgun at an officer.
Residents called police to the 600 block of Belle Dora Court in Arnold because they say William Neall was banging on doors and yelling curse words. They told police Neall was doing that most of the day.
When the first officer arrived and was waiting for back up, Neall came out of his home pointing a shotgun at the officer.
Police say the officer then drew his own weapon, pointed it at Neall and told him to drop his weapon.
Neall listened to the officer, and then was arrested.
He is charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault, assault with a deadly weapon and reckless endangerment.
