Man cut trying to stop robbery attempt

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WMAR) - Police in Anne Arundel County are looking for a suspect in the attempted robbery and cutting of a man.

Just before noon on Saturday, officers responded to a local hospital for reports of a stabbing.

Officer spoke with one of the victims, a 26-year-old female who stated she and her boyfriend were walking in the area of 5th Avenue in Glen Burnie when a male suspect approached them and attempted to steal her purse.

At that time, the victim's boyfriend intervened and was cut by the suspect. He is expected to survive.

The suspect then ran from the area towards Crain Highway.

The suspect was described as a black male, about 30-year-old with a bald head, wearing dark-colored Capri pants and a white tee shirt.
