GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WMAR) -  

Anne Arundel County Police are asking for your help to find the vehicle for hitting a pedestrian, critically injuring him, and then fleeing the scene. 
 
Officers responded to Mountain Road near Jumpers Hole Road for a report of a pedestrian struck at about 7:15 p.m. Tuesday. 
 
Upon arrival, officers found a man, possibly in his late 30's, suffering from severe trauma. He was taken to Shock Trauma where he is listed in critical condition. 
 
Police say the man had been crossing the street where there was no crosswalk when he was hit. 
 
The preliminary investigation has revealed that a maroon or burgundy minivan or SUV struck the man and then fled east on Mountain Road.
