ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Anne Arundel County Police arrested a 43-year-old man they believe is responsible for up to five thefts at the 24 Hour Fitness in Annapolis.

Roger Stephen Marcus has been charged with multiple counts of theft.

Police were called to the gym in the 200-block of Harker Place by employees on February 18. The employees said Marcus wandered into the gym without a membership or an invitation. They also recognized him from surveillance video that was released by police earlier in the week. Police were looking for man who was breaking into lockers at the gym and stealing credit cards.

Marcus and located inside the gym and placed under arrest.

Police say they are working with other local jurisdictions in a continuing investigation into Marcus.
