Man charged in attempted fire-bombing

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WMAR) -  

Police in Anne Arundel County have arrested and charged a man after they say he tried to fire-bomb a home during a domestic incident. 
 
Officers responded to the 300 block of Rose Avenue in Glen Burnie on Tuesday for reports of a domestic assault.
 
Police learned that Charles Wayne Rogers forcibly entered a home armed with a knife and a Molotov cocktail and threatened two occupants. 
 
A struggle ensued and the occupants sustained minor injuries. Rogers then threw the Molotov cocktail onto a bed where the occupants were located, however, the device did not ignite. When the device didn't ignite, Rogers then forced a woman out of the home.
 
The two were then located in a wooden area near Corkran Middle School. 
 
The woman was treated for non-life threatening injuries. It was determined that she was held against her will, and that the home was occupied by several other tenants in adjoining apartments. 
 
Rogers was charged with 2 counts of attempted first degree murder, 4 counts of attempted second degree murder, 6 counts of reckless endangerment, first and second degree assault, wear or carry dangerous weapons, first degree burglary, destruction of property, false imprisonment, attempted arson, kidnapping and manufacture, possess, use of a destructive device.
