Anne Arundel County Police have arrested a man in connection with 17 burglaries at different businesses in the county.
Police say the burglaries started in the early part of July, and happened in the eastern, southern, and western districts of the county.
Officers investigating a burglary at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds in Crownsville on July 19th found a cell phone, and were able to link it to a name and potential suspect.
Then on July 28th, detectives were investigating another burglary to a snowball stand called the "Ice Shack" in Pasadena, and were able to get video surveillance.
An image of the man burglarizing the stand was shown to family members of the suspect police came up with from the previous burglary, and they identified him as David Evi Cooper.
A warrant was issued for Cooper's arrest on August 3rd as a result.
Three days later an officer on patrol saw a man on a motorcycle run a red light, and when the driver was pulled over, he was identified as Cooper.
That detective recognized that Cooper had a warrant out for his arrest and took him into custody.
He was taken to the Eastern District Police Station and interviewed by detectives.
Further investigation connected him to burglaries in 17 different locations throughout the county including the following:
Eastern District:
