ARNOLD, Md. -

Anne Arundel County Police arrested a man impersonating a police officer early Sunday morning.

Police arrested twenty-three-year-old Zachary Allan Butler around 2:15 a.m Sunday after an officer saw him trying to pull over a Nissan X-Terra near Furnace Branch Road and Point Pleasant Road in Glen B. Butler was driving a black Crown Victoria with flashing red lights on the dash like those commonly used  by police.

A quick check through the officer's Mobile Data Computer revealed that the vehicle was a personally owned vehicle and not a police vehicle. Police found a red emergency light and a police scanner in the car.

Butler was arrested and charged with impersonating a police office and driving while intoxicated.
