ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WMAR) - The trial for Anne Arundel County Executive John Leopold has bee rescheduled for January.
Circuit Court Judge Paul Hackner postponed the trial earlier this week at the request of Leopold's defense attorney. The case will now be heard beginning January 16, 2013 and is expected to last about 2 weeks.
Leopold was indicted in March for the alleged misuse of his police detail for his personal and political gain.
Judge Dennis Sweeney is scheduled to hear the case. He is the same judge that heard the Shelia Dixon trial.
