PASADENA, Md. (WMAR) - Family, friends, and people from the community came out in droves in remembrance of a life that ended too soon.

"Matt was a good kid," said Carla Morrow, mother of Mathew Morrow.

Nearly four hundred faces and double the memories were present at a candlelight vigil at George Fox Middle School on Saturday.

Mathew Morrow, 21, and long-time friend Darren Costa were shot outside of, what police are calling, a house party early Saturday morning.

"These people out here just have no respect for life," said Ed Morrow.

Costa suffered a gunshot wound and survived, but it would be Morrow who was shot and killed.

"He did everything for everybody.  He always tried to make them laugh.  He was awesome, awesome.  And this is just so senseless that something like this would happen," said Carla Morrow

ABC2 News was the only crew in Pasadena as a sea of people marched in solidarity from the Middle School to the exact location Morrow was killed.

The shooter then drove away in a dark-colored vehicle.

Police do not believe the shooting was random and ask anyone with information to call them immediately.
