Food delivery man assaulted in Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WMAR) - A man was assaulted Monday in Anne Arundel County on the 100 block of Bloomsbury Square around 9:00 p.m.

Police say the victim was making a food delivery when he was approached by seven unknown males that took his wallet and his money.

Two suspects have been arrested; Eugene Nater, 45 and Karlos Phelps, 31. The pair were charged with robbery, assault, and theft.

Both suspects are being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center, where Nater is held without bond and Phelps held on a $180,000 bond.

The victim is being treated at Anne Arundel Medical Center to injuries to his face, ribs and groin.
