GLEN BURNIE, Md. - A woman will spend the rest of her life in prison for arranging the murder of her employer at a dental office in an attempt to cover up her theft scheme.
Shontay Hickman pleaded guilty to first degree murder Monday, the day her two week trial was set to begin.
An Annapolis judge sentenced Hickman to life in prison.
Hickman and her cousin, Dante Jeter, were both charged in the September 26, 2006 slaying of Hichman's boss Dr. Albert Woonho Ro.
Ro was found in his office in the Chatham Executive Office Complex, stabbed 39 times and beaten beyond recognition.
Both Hickman and Jeter were indicted in July 2010 on charges including murder, robbery and burglary.
Jeter faces a trial in May.
