ODENTON, Md - It happened just after eight last night in the 1100 block of Annapolis road in Odenton.
County police say 27 year old Tori Danielle Stitely of Annapolis pulled out of a parking lot in a 2001 Lexus right in the path of a Chevy Silverado pickup.
The impact spun the Lexus completely around and the truck hit a light pole.
But instead of staying around, county police say the driver of the truck jumped out of the vehicle and ran down Annapolis road on foot.
“The driver has not be located at this point certainly we want to contact the driver so we can expedite our investigation find out what mitigating circumstances there were and in this particular case certainly the law requires you to stay on the scene of a crash like this and report it to police and render aid." Anne Arundel County Police Spokesman Justin Mulcahey says.
Stitely was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center and died from her injuries.
Police have asked for video from security cameras at neighboring businesses to try to see if it can help id the driver of pick-up truck.
