ANNAPOLIS Md. - A 31-year-old man was arrested and charged Saturday after police say he broke into an Annapolis home and hit a resident with a chair.
Around 12:41 a.m. a man living in the 1000 block of Forest Hills Avenue went to investigate strange sounds coming from his kitchen, according to Annapolis Police.
When the man went into his kitchen he found a complete stranger, later identified as Annapolis resident Bladimir Garcia Flores, according to police.
Police said Flores was intoxicated and allegedly hit the resident with a chair. The two men struggled for a short time and the resident ultimately held Flores down until police arrived.
The resident was treated at Anne Arundel Medical Center for injuries sustained during the struggle. He has since been released.
Flores was charged with first- and second-degree burglary, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and disturbing the peace. He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on $250,000 bond.
