ANNAPOLIS, Md. - A person who was stabbed in Annapolis is expected to survive but the Annapolis man accused in the attack faces multiple charges including attempted first degree murder.

The Annapolis Police Department says Jose Rodriguez stabbed the victim in the lower back around 10:30pm Wednesday night at 111 West Street.

Police say they later spotted Rodriguez in Annapolis.

Rodriguez was charged with attempted first degree murder, 1st degree assault, second degree assault, reckless endangerment, and weapon possession.

Officers are not saying if Rodriguez knew the victim or if this was a random attack.
