4 officers hurt in prison fight

JESSUP, Md. (AP) -  

   Correction officials say four officers were hurt during a fight with inmates at the Jessup Correctional Institution.
 
   A spokesman for the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services says on Thursday, an inmate got into a verbal confrontation with a correctional officer and assaulted him. The spokesman said several other inmates then attacked officers during a brief fight.
 
   The Capital of Annapolis reports that one officer was treated and released at a local hospital; three others were treated by a prison doctor.
 
   The incident is under investigation.
 
   Jessup Correctional Institution is a maximum-security prison.
