A man and woman from Pasadena were arrested this week following an investigation into cocaine distribution in Glen Burnie and Pasadena.
Officials say they received information about the two individuals during the months of April and May. The two were taken into custody on May 13 at about 7 p.m. by the Anne Arundel County Police Department with the help of special enforcement section detectives and northern district patrol units.
Stephen Wayne Rodey, 44, of West Shore Road in Pasadena and Dawn Denise Samuel, 39, of West Shore Road in Pasadena were taken into custody and charged following a traffic stop on Route 10 near Furnace Branch Road.
A search and seizure warrant was executed on a room the suspects had rented at a Glen Burnie area hotel. Upon searching the room and the suspects, detectives seized approximately 70 grams of suspected cocaine (powder) with an approximate street value of $7,000 and $800 in currency.
