Your mailbox could be loaded down with a lot more mail soon.

The New York Times is reporting the U.S. Postal Service is working to increase its direct-mail advertising customers, which would mean more junk mail deliveries to millions of mailboxes.

The move is an effort to boost revenue for the struggling U.S.P.S.

The report says almost half of all mail delivered in the U.S. is advertising.
