Corn prices have been rising because of the hot, dry weather this summer, but that's not the only thing affecting your wallet this season.

Meat prices have also gone up because many cows and chickens are fed with products that include corn.

Electric bills are rising too.

Higher temperatures naturally send most of us to the thermostat to keep our homes cool.

But there are advantages to this heat too.

A warmer spring in New England has sent lobster prices to record lows.

Lastly, lawn care bills should be lower overall because less rain and more heat means less growth for your grass.
