Remember getting a measly allowance for doing your childhood chores?

These days, kids today are raking in the dough.

The average yearly allowance is $780!

That breaks down to about $15 a week.

Anew survey from The American Institute Of Certified Financial Planners shows 61% of parents pay an allowance.

Most make their kids earn it with chores or grades.

But, only 1%percent of kids save their allowance.

Financial experts say that means parents aren't talking totheir children about financial responsibility.
