BALTIMORE - It may just be the start of the year, but tax season has already begun.

Tuesday January 17 is the first day you can e-file your taxes with the IRS.

According to Dwyane Henderson with H&R Block, 140 million Americans will file with the IRS this year, and a large number of them will be e-filing.

Among the benefits of e-filing, is getting your refund in eight to ten days after you filed, according to Henderson.

Even though you can technically e-file starting Tuesday, you may still have to wait.  Employers are not required to send out W2 forms until January 30.  You need this form to file.

If after February 15 you still don't have your W2, you can then use your last paystub.
