Contest to win $50,000 and stop robocalls

You now have a chance to stop all those harassing robocalls, and pocket $50,000.

The Federal Trade Commission is asking for help in stopping the calls to cell phones and land lines.

It has opened up a contest to the public.

The winning submission gets $50,000 and a trip to Washington to present the solution.

The deadline to send in ideas is 5 p.m. eastern on January 17th.

The winner will be announced in April.
