Problems with unintended acceleration related to floor mats have prompted Toyota to recall more cars. The Lexus RX 350 and RX 450h crossover vehicles from the 2010 model year have been added to the list.
The recall affects vehicles built from Nov. 28, 2008, through Sept. 1, 2010. In these cars the accelerator pedal can get stuck at full throttle.
When the accelerator is stuck the vehicle’s speed can increase with such force that it may be difficult to stop by applying the brakes. For more information about recalls, customers can go to www.toyota.com/recall or call 1-800-331-4331.
