About 92,000 trampolines, made by Sportspower Limited, are being recalled because of a problem with the netting.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is announcing a voluntary recall, along with Sportspower Limited, of their Sportspower BouncePro 14' Trampolines.
The company says the netting surrounding the trampolines can break, and children can fall through.
So far, Sportspower says they've received 17 reports of the net breaking, and in 11 of those cases, people were hurt, including broken bones, back and neck injuries, and contusions.
The trampolines were sold at Walmart stores nationwide between February 2009 and February 2012 for about $275.
“Sportspower BouncePro 14” and “TR-14-63-A” are printed on a plate on the leg of the trampoline frame.
Anyone with one of the recalled trampolines should stop using it, and contact Sportspower to receive replacement black netting for the trampoline.
For additional information about the recall, customers can call Sportspower's customer service hotline toll-free at 888-965-0565 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or visit the company's website at http://www.sportspowerltd.net/recall-bouncepro-14ft.html .
