Group discount offers are all the rage these days, but there are a few things to consider before you take advantage of a deal you find on Groupon or Living Social.

Sometimes, there's a limit to how many group offers can be purchased. So if you see something you want, don't wait. The deals are generally only available for a limited time.

But you also want to make sure you're going to use a coupon before you buy it, especially if you have to pay up front.

Be sure to read all the fine print: many of the offers contain significant restrictions, including blackout days and limits on what you can use it for. For example, group offers for restaurants sometimes forbid you from using your coupon on alcohol, gratuity or certain daily specials.
