Baltimore, MD - Created by 20 leading women's business organizations and 10 companies The Roadmap to 2020 us expected to create at least 6 million jobs -- and new and better jobs -- in the next 10 years.

This project not only tells us how to create more jobs – but also how to improve the quality of those jobs, with higher salaries and better benefits, in growing, innovative companies.

Mary Molander, President and Ceo of Livehealthier and Virginia Littlejohn, CEO and co-founder of Quantum Leaps joined Megan and Jamie on Good Morning Maryland and shared powerful information on the progress women are making in terms of building businesses.

We know that women’s businesses can power the growth and job creation this country needs if we have the right kind of access:

-To capital

- To government contracts, and

- To the corporate marketplace

· Education: We need early entrepreneurial education to help young girls think ambitiously about their own businesses

· Policymakers: more support and training for women's businesses to get the training to help them think big and take responsible risk

· Financial institutions: more access to capital by women's businesses and more women investors

What does it take to grow?

Mary Moslander, President & CEO of LiveHeathier talked about the challenges and rewards of being an entrepreneur.

Virginia Littlejohn, CEO and Co-Founder of Quantum Leaps, a Washington-based NGO that focuses on global strategic initiatives to help women’s businesses grow.
