The #1 item people steal may surprise you

BALTIMORE - Black Friday sales were up 7 percent over last year, giving a holiday boost to stores, but shoplifting is also up this season.

One in every 11 people who enter a store will walk out with at least one item they didn’t pay for according to a recent Adweek article . 

Shoplifting is up 6 percent from last year said Michael C. Creedon, the North American Vice President for retail sales at ADT Commercial Security, in the article.

The items people steal may surprise you.  Here's a list of the items most likely to be shoplifted:

1. Filet mignon
2. Jameson and other expensive liquors
3. Electric tools (the most common items are electric toothbrushes and power tools.)
4. iPhone4
5. Gillette Mach 4
6. Axe body deoderants and body washes (At least people will be clean!)
7. Polo Ralph Lauren apparel
8. Let’s Rock Elmo
9. Chanel No. 5
10. Nikes
