COLMBIA, MD - Hundreds of inspiring area women will head to Centennial Park in Columbia to swim, bike, and run a course to take their commitment to health and jump the final hurdle in their recovery from cancer or other life challenges or even race in tribute to a lost loved one.

Wednesday, on Good Morning Maryland @ 9 Megan Pringle sat down with two of those Iron Women, Abby Glassberg and Patti Miles. Abby had a double mastectomy and hysterectomy and has already run a marathon and an actual IronMan. Patti has lost 150 pounds and is full of renewed energy after having gastric bypass surgery and then having her doctor encourage her to keep the weight off. The two of them are running not only for themselves but also those in their lives.

To hear their incredible stories and why they are completing in this year's Aflac Iron Girl Columbia Triathlon, click on the video box to the left of this article. We have also provided a link to the left for more information.
