Katie Couric is getting ready for her new show this fall. Technology and how it impacts our lives is one of the topics she'll cover.
She spoke with New York Times columnist Bruce Feiler about what you should do if you get an e-mail informing you someone has died.
He says, "Don't hit "Reply All" and no texting. Think about it as if you are the griever. And you have all of these things interrupted by texting. It's horrifying to consider. A phone call is more personal. And you will never regret sending a note. You can compose your thoughts. They can read it at a time of their choosing. And it will last forever.
"Katie" debuts September 10th on WMAR-TV at 4pm.
