Summer is just around the corner, but many have already turned on their air conditioners because of an unusually warm spring. Here are some tips to make sure your A/C is prepared for when we hit the really hot temperatures.
Experts say it's a good idea to get your A/C unit tuned up before the hot weather strikes. A typical tune-up can cost between $70-100. Units frequently break down when the weather is the hottest, and that can mean expensive repairs and costly emergency calls.
Service technicians will check several things on your A/C to make sure everything is running properly, like the indoor and outdoor coil, capacitors, compressor, etc. Experts recommend that you have your A/C tuned up once a year.
