Is social media taking over all areas of our lives?

It seems social media has taken over all aspects of our life, even our time on the toilet.

A new survey found 32 percent of 18 to 24-year-olds use social networking while in the bathroom. That could be updating a Facebook status or sending a tweet. 

The study also found we're spending more time on social media compared to last year. Increasingly, that time is spent using smartphones.
