BALTIMORE - Ladies, apparently the reason your waistline is expanding is because you don't do enough housework. No, this is not a study from the 1950s.

Researchers compared activity logs kept by stay-at home women from 1965 until today  and this is what they found.

Women spent 26 hours a week dusting, mopping, cooking and washing.

Fast forward to 2010 and women spent just 13 hours doing the same tasks.

The average American woman who works at home has gained 22 pounds.

Tell us what you think about this study.

We've posted it on our Facebook page- - so weigh in.
