The Harvard Business Review gives the following 5 tips to help stay postive and motivated on the job:
- Go better, not bigger: Quality work tends to bring you more satisfaction that quantity. Keep asking yourself what you can do better at and are you proud of what you're doing.
- Schedule realistically: Create a realistic relationship with time, so you can get what you an actually do in any given day.
- Avoid time bandits: Try turning off your phone and ignoring emails for 1-2 hours, so you can focus on your work day.
- Taste the future: Do something that gives you the sense of what you're working toward.
- Do something for someone else: Get active in helping others hit or meet their goals. Check on co-workers to see how they are doing.
At the end of the day, take a moment to reflect on what you've done.
