You have a lot to think about when you're going on a first date; what to wear, where to go, what to do?  All of these things can make it or break it.  But did you know that what you chose to eat may also impact how well your date goes.

Experts say that peanut dishes can trigger parts of our brain that help us to relax.  If you choose red pepper flakes over salt to season your meal, it can get your blood flowing and help you feel more alert.

And don't forget about the foods that can help you feel sexy.  Scallops are packed with zinc, which experts say may benefit sexual function.  Foods with carotenoids, found in red-colored foods like tomatoes, are said to help you feel more attracted to the opposite sex.

The food you choose to eat can also say a lot about you as a person.  For example, an order of burgers and fries can signal to your date that you are a care-free, no-frills kind of person.  A classic dish like chicken parmesan can say that you are warm-hearted and respectful.  Poached salmon says that you like control.  And a meal like chicken fingers shows you are a kid at heart, perhaps the class clown when you were in school.
