BOWIE, Md.(WMAR) - UPDATE (6:10 p.m.) -- All lanes of US-50 have reopened.
UPDATE (5:20 p.m.) -- Two westbound US-50 lanes and all eastbound lanes, include the HOV lane have been re-opened.
ORIGINAL -- A plane crash has crews shutting down a major segment of Route 50 in Prince George’s County.
Three people have been injured, according to reports from Fire Chief Marc Bashoor. Two of the individuals were trapped and will have to be transported to Shock Trauma. The third person injured will be transported via ambulance to a nearby medical facility.
It is unclear if the victims were on the small plane that crashed.
Maryland State Highway Administration officials posted via Twitter that all lanes are blocked at westbound US-50 at Church Road.
