LANSDOWNE, Md. - A 50-year-old pizza delivery man was shot in Lansdowne Saturday night police say.
Police and fire units responed to the 300 block of 5 th Avenue at 6:46 p.m. for a report of a shooting. An investigation found that a pizza delivery driver was approached by an unknown suspect with a gun. The suspect shot the delivery man at least once.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious but non life-threatening injuries.
Police believe the shooting is robbery related.
Officials say there is no suspect description, and detectives are continuing to investigate.
