KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -

Police say a 25-year-old Kansas City Chiefs player was involved in two shootings Saturday, one of which occurred in the parking lot near Arrowhead Stadium.

Kansas City police Supervisor Andrea Khan could not release the name of the player involved. The condition of the two parties was not immediately known.

Khan said the first shooting happened in a Kansas City, Mo., neighborhood and the second happened at Arrowhead Stadium, about five miles away, at about 8 a.m. Saturday.

The Chiefs issued a statement that said, "We can confirm that there was an incident at Arrowhead earlier this morning. We are cooperating with authorities in their investigation."
