She's a Victoria's Secret model who has graced many magazines. But right now a lot of women are pretty irritated with Miranda Kerr. She recently said she refused an epidural because she didn't want a "drugged-up baby". Some mothers are lashing out at Kerr because they feel she is implying that those who choose this form of pain relief are being irresponsible.
The controversial statement is in Britain's Harper's Bazaar's August issue. Kerr said she made the decision to go without the commonplace pain reliever, despite doctor's recommendations, after watching numerous birthing videos. Many moms are pointing out that there is actually no evidence that epidurals have any long-term detrimental effect on the baby and have a valid place in reducing birth trauma.
