BOSTON - Doctors in Boston say they expect Adele to make a full recovery from surgery.

That's no small deal, because the surgery deals with something she uses to make her music and her living -- her vocal cords.

She had had microsurgery to repair aproblem in one of her vocal cords.

Turns out there was a polyp in one of the cords -- and there were fears that the blood vessels in the cord might burst.

The polyp was non-cancerous.

And Massachusetts General Hospital says the surgery went well.

Adele is 23.

Her throat problems have already caused her to cancel two different tours -- and doctors have ordered her to shut it down for the rest of the year.
