NEW YORK, NY - Kanye West is making a comeback to the spotlight. And he's doing it just about a year after an incident that caused him to step out of the public eye.
He will appear at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. It was last year at those same awards that West upset people by snatching the microphone from Taylor Swift -- and declaring that Beyonce was the rightful winner of best female video.
His rude interruption of Swift's remarks drew negative attention from many -- including President Barack Obama, who called him "a jackass" in comments made before an interview.
Eventually, West apologized and took a hiatus from music. His return to the spotlight comes just in time for the release of his new album, which is due out in November.
