UNDATED (AP) -- In a new memoir, John Edwards' mistress Rielle Hunter says she contemplated what life would be like for them if he were to be convicted and imprisoned on campaign finance charges.

Hunter describes a phone conversation days before the indictment in the book called "What Really Happened: John Edwards, Our Daughter and Me." The book was purchased by The Associated Press ahead of its release.

Hunter says Edwards told her he would probably wind up in a low-security prison in Virginia. She quickly told him she and their daughter would move there to be near him if that happened.

The memoir also includes Rielle Hunter's mixed views on Edwards' parenting of their daughter Quinn. Hunter writes that she still has romantic feelings for Edwards but doesn't know how their relationship will turn out.
