EL PASO, Texas (AP) -
He died back in July. But did you know that Sherman Hemsley hasn't yet been buried?
That was because of a beef over his estate. That matter has now been resolved. A judge in El Paso, Texas has ruled that Hemsley's longtime friend can finally lay him to rest and run his estate.
The ruling went against a half-brother of Hemsley who objected to the naming of Flora Enchinton Bernal, who is named in the actor's will as the executor of the estate.
Hemsley played George Jefferson on the TV sitcom "The Jeffersons." His body has been in cold storage at an El Paso funeral home since his death nearly four months ago.
