The stars of ONE DIRECTION regularly plan a day of pranks to pull on their management team to stave off boredom while on the road.

The boyband - comprised of Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne - has been part of a nonstop promotional whirlwind since shooting to fame on Britain's The X Factor, but the singers often grow restless while on tour.

They devised a monthly 'Deadly Day' to deliberately cause chaos for their minders and security, and Tomlinson admits playing tricks makes the group "feel alive".

He tells British newspaper The Sun, "Deadly Day - we originally had a day every month when we just run riot, and there's no rules and we just cause mischief. It can get a bit boring on the road so we like to make it interesting for ourselves.

"We climbed onto the roof of a building the other day. There were about 10 people at the bottom telling us to come down. We're young lads. It's good to feel alive."
