Shooting two TV shows at the same time presented a problem for OLIVIA MUNN's make-up artists on THE NEWSROOM because she often returned all banged up from her butt-kicking role on comedy series NEW GIRL.
The Magic Mike star, who portrays an on-air journalist in Aaron Sorkin's critically-acclaimed drama, recently agreed to a multi-episode guest arc on Zooey Deschanel's Emmy-nominated show, and while Munn admits she had a blast letting loose as a punch-throwing stripper, she often fell prone to accidents.
She tells Us Weekly, "The first take, I literally got an elbow to the jaw. And then... (another actress) accidentally punched me in the face, right across the cheekbone. But I just kept going."
Munn, who shot the projects simultaneously, admits The Newsroom producers weren't too thrilled when she showed up to set the next day all black and blue.
She explains, "I had a bruise on my eye. They'll never let New Girl have me back!"
