Madonna named the year's top Money Maker

Pop superstar MADONNA has narrowly beaten BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN to be named the top Money Maker of the past year.

The Material Girl has banked a whopping $34.58 million in the last 12 months, thanks largely to her hugely successful MDNA world tour, which earned her an estimated $32 million alone.

Her mammoth pay cheque placed her just ahead of rock icon Springsteen, who garnered $33.44 million in the same period after hitting the road on the Wrecking Ball trek.

Pink Floyd legend Roger Waters ($21.16 million/£13.23 million), Van Halen ($20.18 million/£12.61 million) and country star Kenny Chesney ($19.15 million/£11.97 million) are placed at three, four and five, respectively, while Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay and Justin Bieber are also mentioned in the Billboard top 10.
