Rapper LIL WAYNE is putting his recent health scare behind him by teaming up with fellow hip-hop star T.I. for a tour.

The Lollipop hitmaker has been in and out of hospital in recent weeks after collapsing on the set of Nicki Minaj's video shoot for new single High School.

He was treated in an intensive care unit following a second admission to a medical facility, but was discharged on Monday (18Mar13) to continue his recovery at home.

However, Lil Wayne is refusing to take it easy as he is putting plans in place to hit the road for a follow-up to his 2009 America’s Most Wanted Tour.

Speaking to fans in a video on Wednesday (20Mar13), he says, "I want to say thank you to y'all for y'all (sic) prayers and concerns, I swear to God I felt that love when I was laid up in that motherf**king hospital. My album is still coming out March 26th, I Am Not A Human Being II. Also, I'm still going on tour, America's Most Wanted tour with some of my closest friends in the game."

T.I. then joins his friend onscreen and urges fans to buy tickets for the shows, which kick off on 5 July (13).

No official details of the tour's dates or locations had been released as WENN went to press.

Lil Wayne scrapped his European tour earlier this month (Mar13) due to scheduling difficulties.
